Dear Evelyn and Family
Sorry to hear about Herman. He was a great person. I remember him showing Bob and I his milk house and the operation of it. I remember the happy times with your family. Love Lu

Dear Evelyn, I was one of Herman'school classmates and may have met you at the 40th high school reunion, the only one I made. I lost my mate after 45 years 5 years ago. It is rough going but Jesus makes it bareable.
I pray HIS comfort upon you.
Sincerely, Barb Hopfinger Shannon

We will really miss Herm. It was a good 52 years that we were neighbors, but Herm is in a beautiful place now because he told us where he was going. But he will truly be missed.May God Bless You All

I'm going to miss Herman. Seemed like every time I met him he always had a friendly word and a smile. I always looked forward to the chance to work with him, whether on the farm, fixing a water main, or fixing the irrigation at the cemetary. I didn't get enough years of knowing him.
My condolences to his wife and family.

Evelyn and Family,
I enjoyed visiting with Herm, but most of all driving down the Noon Road and waving while Herm ran errands in Lynden. He will be greatly missed and we will be praying for your family at this time. God's blessings to you.

To Evelyn and Family, our neighbors, We are thinking of you, and feeling what you are going thru as we have just gone thru the same thing. Our close neighbohood community will sorely miss seeing Hermie walking from house to tractor and the feilds everyday. Our community elders, our pioneering forefathers and mothers will continue here thru their next generations, Us. Our sympathy goes out to your family for your loss.
