I only knew her online, but her bright spirit translated even through that medium. I pray for her and her daughter. The world is lesser without her sweet soul.

I graduated from high school with Chrissy, and if I close my eyes, I can only remember her smiling, and I can precisely hear her laughing backstage at the Lynden Middle School auditorium when we were in plays together. She was selfless and thought of the happiness of others. She never required payment for her friendship. She was beautiful, and I'm privileged to say that the sound of Chrissy Cardona's laughter lives in my heart, as in so many others. Warm condolences to her family.

To the Cardona Family: I am sorry for you loss. I will not pretend to imagine what you are going through at this time; however, reading the kind thoughts of others must bring you comfort that Christina was surrounded by wonderful support.
I only knew her to be sweet, funny, expressive as well as an an incredibly gentle mother to Miqui.

We knew each other online. I'm shocked and so heartbroken right now. This is not fair.

To Christina's family-No words can express the sadness that so many of us feel at this sudden loss. A bright shiny penny, a smile worth a million dollars--those of us who worked with Christina didn't know her as you did but we loved her just the same. I hired Christina at ESD and believed in her. She was a lover, not a fighter...and I respected her for that. She loved her mom and dad and was so proud of her heritage...she told me stories of her childhood and what she had learned along the way. Her focus was on her sweet daughter of whom she was so proud...we will miss the sunshine of her smile and the intensity in which she lived....may she rest in peace and watch over us.

Dearest Maria, Joe and families,
My heart shares your grief. When I speak Crissy's name I remember her as walking home on 1st Street. She turned to wave at our kids at our house and I thought to myself, "That child could be called Bubbles". She was radiant. The last time I saw her I thought, "Chrissy still creates happiness in others". I feel lucky to have known her. Mary
